The autumn leaves were dancing on the pavement in Paris, Maison & Objet 2017 exhibition was in full swing and we were very excited to introduce you to some of our new products from the autumn / winter collection.

We created a very special product for our NEW collection, which is actually made from … no, not linen, but Merino Wool! As you may know, autumn / winter season is particularly cold in Vilnius, hence we chose warmer fabrics when designing some products for “Jurate” autumn / winter collection. We created a beautiful shawl,  called SKARA (145x145 cm, photo below), which is available in three colours: choco, smoke and graphite. We decided to give SKARA as a business gift to our clients, and the reaction so far has been phenomenal!

The woven pattern on the shawl is a transcript of “Katpede”, one of the most complex patterns to weave on the looms. The literal translation for the name itself is “Catsfoot”, potentially because the squared shapes resemble the stamp of a cat’s paw. It also stands for a flower from the daisy family, which grows on sandy beaches. “Katpede” pattern can be found in many handmade collections produced by weavers in the middle / late 20th century in Lithuania, and continues to fascinate the new generation of textile lovers.

We’re glad you like it too!
